When leaving a blank rack panel between amps in a amp case, should the panel be solid or vented?

Vented if the back is enclosed.

Thanks - Russell's quote is very true if caught bringing one of his McIntosh amps in. Basements with a rear door entrance are preferable. Never unpack it at home. Unpack and leave the packing evidence somewhere else. Voice of experience. Thanks for the article.

Yes if the amps use active cooling and the air flow is front to back.
