The Kaylors - wireless with built-in 60W amp

I've been working on these speakers longer than I care to admit, but they're finally done. Everything always takes longer than we anticipate... still, I absolutely love designing and building custom speakers for friends and family. This is my first wireless capable speaker. However, for maximum flexibility there are two "standard" inputs available on the Dayton 60 Watt built-in amplifier. This allows an iPad, iPhone, computer or any other typical source to feed these speakers a signal.

As soon as we turned these speakers on... the Apple Airport Express had already communicated with the network and was feeding music to these speakers wirelessly. Success!!!

We spent hours listening to various types of music. They sound very well balanced. Nice mix of lows, mids and highs with no "listener fatigue." We fed signals into the front and rear AUX inputs via iPhone without any problems. The internal 60 Watt Dayton amp defaults to the rear input, but when a signal is fed into the front input it takes priority.

This is an all Dayton design with the obvious exception of the Apple module. I spent quite a bit of time on the crossover. Careful crossover design yielded an extremely flat frequency response (+/- 1dB from 320HZ to 20kHz) while simultaneously optimizing the phase tracking of the woofer and tweeter. This would never have been possible without Jeff B's PCD. Such a great tool!!! Thanks once again Jeff.

Those came out very nice. Super nice execution with everything. Even the power brick is integrated! I'd say these are a huge step above what you'd commercially be able to get size wise.
It's okay to take a long time with a project when it comes out that nice!
