      • This has been the most informative build thread I've ever seen on here. I'm convinced you've forgotten more about woodworking than I currently know. Nicely done sir!

          • Looks like a good design. How many speak are there to build the Trump tower?

            • PI, Sometimes I want to buy your next project components just so I can see another build thread. You also make me not ever want to attempt finishing hardwood ever again...

              Amazing work as always.
              Your results may vary.

              • Thank you all so very much for all the kind words, folks!

The step by step photos stopped, as I had to rush to deliver them.

I will attempt to upload a picture from my phone.

                • If that's one of the recipients, I'd say he's a pretty happy camper based on the smile on his face! Man those look awesome finished! Will you be supplying amplifiers also. If the youngsters don't have one, the APA150 might be a good fit. Least they could do is buy a good amp, heck you're gifting them an awesome set of speaks! Don would know best and hopefully has some recommendations. Again, really nice work Dan.

                  • I am out of town and replying or updating is awkward on my phone. I'll do more later. That was our nephew with his new Mahogany pair. Our niece got her Oak pair yesterday, but my phone saved the photo as a larger file size and I will have to shrink it, before I can post it.

                        • PassingInterest, thank you so much for documenting your work. Like a famous painter, you are a producer of fine art.

It's amazing how a master woodworker can take a dull lifeless stick of wood, and with love, care, and skill, bring it to life.

Man ... I wish I had a pinch of your talent.

                          • Thanks for the kind words, guys. I have been on the road, between Texas, Ohio, Michigan, Ohio and back home to Texas. And my father-in-law is coming to live with us in a week. We thought we had 2 months. So, now I have to hustle to get things ready for him. I have some additional photos to post later and I want to get caught up here, hopefully later tonight.

Everyone that heard these Radickal Towers loved them, myself included. People would get a shocked look on their face as they listened and look around at everyone else, who all looked stunned, then breathe out the word, "Wow," which was echoed all around.

I didn't get to do any serious critical listening or A/B comparisons...yet, but I definitely like them very much. Great design Don! I am pretty certain that I will be building another pair soon, after I get caught up on other things. I hope to do some comparison listening with the next pair that I build. Until then, all I can say about the sound quality is, "Wow!"

                            • Shucks - "what every design/builder wants to hear".
Frankly, I had hopes that they would sound "good" (don't we always hope)
But these constantly surprise me with realism and effortless dynamics.

Happy (after all the build time) that you and your lucky recipients can finally hear them and agree!
