  • Dayton 10" sub kit with passive radiators

A couple years ago, I bought my daughter the PE kit for Dayton 6.5" bookshelf speakers. She had fun building it, and she listens to them all the time (she's in her room a lot). This year, she wants a turntable, which is great. But I thought maybe she should also have a sub to go with her system. I picked up the Dayton 10" sub kit with dual passive radiators and the 500W amp. I built the box (I didn't want her to have to wait for paint to dry before using the Christmas gift). Hardly furniture grade, but I didn't have much time. It's PVS walnut veneer with a satin poly finish.Click image for larger version

I have two of the 8" 250 watt DSP subs. Very flexible. Yours should have an adjustable rumble filter (my 8" does). I recommend you download the software to adjust your sub on the (windows) computer, though you can do the adjustments on the sub with the knob and tiny screen. The best use of this sub is to run the source through the sub and then to the amp for the satellites.

        Looks nice.
