And, the two piece baffles stuck together with the vinyl floor install tape I used on the Continuums.

Looking good. Going with squared front edges? I ordered some veneer to try on my next project but that will likely be a long ways off.

I think you are really going to enjoy those; I'm finding I listen to much less music without the SR71s.

I'm copying the Madisound cabinet, with a small roundover. I apparently deleted my comment from yesterday.

6/3, I'm letting the shellac dry on the baffles.

That's outside in direct sun. It's hot but not that hot.

These are big and heavy. They sound nice, they image very nicely. These are a very close copy of the SR71 built in the original Madisound cabinet by Zaph. The foam is some Sonic Barrier sawtooth wall tiles bought on sale. The originals used several thicknesses of sticky backed Sonic Barrier foam. Otherwise nearly identical. These would be nice stereo full range speakers, I believe.

                  They do look sharp.

Where did you purchase that veneer?

If you search ebay for PSA veneer, there are two sellers with good selections, I've used both. I bought a 2'x8' piece and used about 3/4 of it.

Thanks, djg - the big box stores near me used to carry this stuff but I haven't seen it there in ages.

Thanks, but these are five footers. Look good at five feet distance. I definitely need a sled for my tiny table saw before my next large project. Even a 2x4 sheet is awkward to cut.. I probably can build my little bluetooth radio before that.

I do really like the veneer.

I'm thinking you might be a bit more critical of the build than most would be. I'd love to have a table saw; building speakers with a circular saw gets old.
