The only issues I've found on the RS270 is that the boxes are massive! I actually have a quad of the aluminum.

I just wish I had room for them.

They look like they sound awesome!

Twin-10" Paper RS Series Woofers . . . Mmmmm . . . If they sound as good as the RS180P's I would buy them anyways - and figure out how to fit it all in here later - impressive stuff.

    Thanks, Mr. Carmody!

I love them, and I can only imagine the sound of music coming out of them.

Oops, sorry about that. I had just read the post about Curt...corrected now.

Those are some very nice tweeters. I have the Anarchy MTM's that Pete designed and they will definitely keep up.

Look forward to seeing the finished product!

This is my design. I can't remember exactly how we decided on these drivers. I know I was aiming away from metal-cone drivers for the woofers and mids. I hadn't really worked much with the RS-P line, so I think that was part of it.

The RS270 are monsters; I had used the metal-cone ones on a big WMTMW design 10 years ago and just couldn't believe how much SPL they can put out before xmax. So the "P" version seemed like a natural way to go.

The tweeters were chosen because Rich had asked about a variety of tweeters in this price range, and the Wavecor stuck out as something hat could hold its own in terms of sensitivity and power handling--without actually being a horn.

I recently had to give these monsters back to Rich. It was a sad day for me; although a happy day for my wife (she was relieved to have reclaimed all the space in the TV room). They sound glorious. Just gobs of output. But I was also able to dial in a great amount of precise imaging with the tweeters. I'll officially publish the design in the coming months.

Just out of curiosity, how were the drivers chosen? Not questioning the efforts/work but simply curious. If Paul is helping I am sure there is solid reasoning behind it. Just can't say I remember a center channel with a pair of 10" woofers in it.

Which alignment did you settle upon from your pics in post # 16 for all 3 speakers?
