I bought a pair of Fountek Neo CD1.0 tweeters from Kevin K's sale. Speedster, Speedster, Speedster.

No, the tiny Rhodium design by Mr. Scott Sehlin. Next spring. 18" of snow, all melted with 60 degrees and rain, but it's cold again.

This snowstorm was part of the terrible storm that decimated Kentucky. One big comma shaped front from Houston to Canada.

I think you will really like Scott's Rhodium design. I heard them in Iowa and was blown away with how clear they were and how they sounded so much bigger than a 3 liter design should.

Mr. Sehlin's designs are interesting, especially (to me) his small three way monitors. We will do a faithful reproduction this spring.

Yes, but often weather interferes with any flights.

So, with the tweeters from Kevin K at a discount from new, parts are right at $250 for these little gems. Just ordered it all.

I'll be scrounging particle board and veneer from leftovers. And I'm going for a sheet cork baffle overlay, due to the woofer pincushion frame. $3.99 Amazon Prime for 4 sq. ft. of 3/16" sheet cork.Stay tuned.

Still plan on cork but going with Baltic Birch for the sides, top and bottom maybe.

So, Scott Sehlin used 3/8" bamboo cutting boards for the cab sides. I could not find any bamboo. I like the look of wood sides and painted top, baffle etc, so I found some fairly cheap 3/8" 12"x12" Baltic birch on Ebay. Work will commence when that wood arrives. I am hoping for a look derivative of the originals.

The Birch arrived yesterday, pretty nice quality. I will work out how best to use it for the Rhodiums.

3/8" BB sides, top and bottom pieces glued up from 3/8" BB strips, mdf accents. 1/16" BB reinforcements to go on the inside of the top and bottom pieces. 3/16" cork over MDF or particle board baffles and back panels.

So I glued the ply on with Titebond, that was a mistake. Even tightly clamped, they warped badly. It's a do over.

I had to order more Birch after cutting most of the first batch into strips. This project will now be a simple box with one brace frame.

The woofer has about 1/8" distance between the fastener holes and the diameter of the mounting hole. I intend to undersize the mounting hole and then put a 45 degree chamfer around it.
