Looking forward to seeing the progress on these. Should be a good build for those who want a budget build with big sound.

Put the mega audiophile biamp terminal cup off to one side to show which way the drivers are skewed, and to have a center brace. Added blocks for the woofer mount, the rebate is 3/8" deep in a 3/4" baffle.

I've yet to build an already established design. I like to tinker with stuff too much. I bet it is a breath of fresh air to just assemble and tack down the XO with reasonable confidence it's just gonna work!

I like the woodworking. Hopefully these will be dead ringers for the classic Dynaco A25. Had a pair of A50s long ago.

Kinda dig the 'screw reinforcement' system too. Easy, works.
Mr. Richards has an eye for the practical with big bang for the buck.

Usually I do the staining and seal the whole thing with the finish first, then paint last. Will be interesting to see a different technique.

Balloon break.

I used to live in Prairie Grove IL and there was a balloon port in Fox River Grove right down the Fox River a ways. They are pretty and we would often see them quite close but one landed in my neighbor's back yard and after most of the neighbors showed up his yard was a mess. A farmer around Woodstock also used one that landed in his corn field as target practice with a 12 ga shotgun after much of his corn was ruined by the balloon and jeep chase crew. The farmer had to pay for the repairs.

Lots of balloooning here, "scenic" St. Croix River. I think they landed in my back neighbor's rough back lot. A balloon landing doesn't really stir up the locals. You can hear the ripping sound of the burner when one is near.

New solder fixed my crappy results on the XO wiring. Who knew? Not me. They work.
