nd65 Desktop Multimedia Speakers

First post from a lurker. After tons of research into the posts on these forums along with building from some proven designs I decided to make come up with something simple to complete.


I made 3 sets of these for gifts this year and am really happy with how they turned out.

They use the Nd65-8 Driver running full range with the Lepai LP40PA plate amp.

I'm pretty new to the hobby so I don't have any measurement hardware but math wise (enclosure/port size) they should be hitting about 60hz on the low end which sounds about right to my ear

They sound pretty good for music and really shine with movies on the computer.

Very nice. What wood is that for the baffles?

I've heard it called spalted maple but also ambrosia maple. I got my hands on a decent amount of it and have been incorporating it into a few different wood working projects
