Chris designed these for me about 10 years ago. Originally they were to go in an old stereo console. Life got in the way and we never finished the project. I stashed the drivers and crossovers with the hope of using them at some point. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when we decided speakers were needed for our shop. I had everything I needed except wood. Originally I was going to use birch for the enclosure, but I was able to pick up a damaged piece of 3/4" walnut ply for only $50. Core is actually mdf so it works out even better. Chris clarifed the baffle width for me, and a couple weeks later here we are! Super stoked.
I'm dealing with an ear infection currently so I can't really give them a good listen. They'll be paired with an old AVR with room correction. I picked up a cheap mic from PE so I'll give them a down and dirty measurement at some point. Setup is for a shop so we're mostly after volume. Stoked to give these drivers a proper home finally!
