Projects that are being worked on or talked about from the technical point of view belong in "tech talk" section IMO. ;)

Totally agree. Otherwise its not different than the main forum.

It would probably be a good idea to limit replies. Its a Gallery.

mostly complete. had to repaint the baffles. when i put the screws in for the grills to stick to, the paint broke away and revealed grey primer. i also ended up paint the tops black. no one will ever know that there were holes. shhhh.

My THX style center channel with two Morel MDT-44's and two Vifa 6.5" woofers. I experimented with the "speckled/ textured" type of spray paint on this one.

To address diffraction, I added some black felt into the countersunk areas surrounding the tweeters.

To ensure this D'Appolito configuration would never be rotated on it's side (destroying the dispersion), I created a diamond shape that almost forces you to keep it as a vertical array. 4th order L-R filters provide very nice polar response when coupled with this particular geometric configuration.

This is a great addition...just wish more people (especially newer members, I guess) would recognize the purpose of this section.:rolleyes: Far too many threads are popping up that belong in TechTalk...and BTW, who is "grandpa" and what is he talking about regarding chatting with other players?!?!?!
