With those painting skills, I don't suppose we'll ever see anything "petite" from you!;) Man, you must be young & strong (or have a shop buddy). Seriously radical projects!

Thanks Guys. Can't take credit for the paint jobs (Storms & Flames). A local artist James Brown did the finish work, plus the Flames artwork was designed by my Son. However, all cabinet design is all mine.

Dan, next up I hope to try some veneer work (walnut) on a few new designs, and if I can get James to come out of retirement, another paint job.

Lou, maybe the "strong" part, and young to those over 70. I do have 2 big strong grandsons who help me out with 4x8 mdf sheets. Also, I had rear wheels & back handle on the "Storms" so I could move them, they was about 220lb per cabinet, right it my lift limit.

For those who think I only paint my projects, here are two real wood builds:

              CC with pine baffle

Sub for my Son's HT system. Tried to match flooring in background.

The artwork takes some already cool looking designs up an even further notch. Well done!

That sub for your son is GORGEOUS btw

Ed, amazing stuff in there. I always feel proud when I finish a rattle-can coated bookshelf but those... Dang.
Don't listen to me - I have not sold any $150,000 speakers.

In the Zapatons, are you using the HiVi RT1L ?
If so, can you tell me a bit about their sound? Also, with the low sensitivity and power handling, are they capable of still getting decent output?

                      Thanks.

                        Re: Froste Speakers

The RT1Ls sound very good, very detailed, with clean highs, over all nice sound, down side is they will only go down to about 3khz. So far I have only put about 150watts to them and they did fine, the RT1N I used in the FCT3.5/FCTCC is the same tweeter without the large face plate. I think the RT1Ls are not used much because of the large silver faceplate, otherwise they are a very good tweeter, have very nice "air" and sparkle. They mate up well with the MDM55/CAM558/EM1308, they need a mid that can go up to 4khz or above.

You are an amazing carpenter. Thanks for sharing. I may be contacting you in the future to build me a center channel similar to FCTCC.
