  • New WTW Floorstander

I have been lurking for a while so here goes. I just finished a set with this exact combination of drivers being talked about in another thread in a WTW config. The drivers are the Buyout Peerless 835004 and the Dayton DC28F-8. I used a fourth order BB vented alignment for the box and crossed the tweet at 2k. Sound is astounding though I think I need to adjust my damping a touch. The other half of the equation is the Eminence Dual Voice-coil Woofer PE had on deal of the day two weeks ago. I am building a sealed second order CC Equal Ripple 2.5 cubic foot enclosure for that that should sound fantastic. I am bi-amping the setup so I have full control over what the woofer is doing and running a full range signal to the top half to get that sweet lower midrange and upper bass punch that these peerless drivers do so well! Attached is a 3D model off of my plans. The design itself is inspired by YG Acoustics work though these are by no means 107,000 dollar speakers. ;)

Looking Good ! Nice Job. I bought the same drivers and then that thread fizzled out . Good to see someone still working with them. If you would be so kind, did you use the crossover that was posted in the other thread ? Thanks Much

so then are you using standard subwoofer amplfier(s) on the bottoms ? 1 per channel ?
(or a stereo amp + active XO?)

              Looks like a nice design.

You may as well list them on ebay for $107,000 just in case. :D
