any graphs or specs on the outcome of the rs225's?
If dynamite was dangerous, do you think they'd sell it to an idiot like me?

I do have some graphs that I took with Arta, I will have to get them from my home computer.

Off the top of my head, the bass boxes with the Rs225's have a volume of 2.4cuft and a QTC of .78. They have an F3 of about 52hz but I run these with active crossovers and are able to get a little deeper.

I was thinking a similar setup. But I want the bass to dig deeper if I can.

I was thinking the same thing at first. I tested the drivers in a vented and sealed test box, I liked the sound of the sealed a little better and it seemed to play just as low. It must be the slow roll off of the 2nd order sealed box. I also didn't want such a large box in my living room if I went vented.

so far, I'm very happy with this setup, I will be putting together closed boxes for the mids to see how they sound.

Thanks guys.... The cabs where built with plywood, the baffles are stair treads and the base is MDF.

If you click on the web page link, there are many more pictures of the build.

Seems like I'm always looking for new or better materials to build a better speaker and make it cheaper in cost.

The stair treads are either oak or pine and are 1 1/8 inch thick. This was the first time I used them also.

I guess it's because I can't stand the dust from MDF anymore.
