They play every low tone I own in my music collection. The lowest, I don't know the hz, but it's on an electronic album and really makes things rattle in the room! Thank you, PE!

      Thanks guys!

I forgot to mention that it was obvious with the first tune that these definitly needed porting. So that was done before further listening.

        That's a great looking speaker.

Thanks. When I do that black again, I'll use a buffer for the wax job. Might re-do these, to even the sheen out a bit.

I'd also like to thank all the folks on this forum who take the time to answer newb questions or provide links, who write articles/programs/how-to's, and who share their experience with web sites/blogs/pics. It goes witout saying this pair of speakers would not exist if it weren't for you! I hope I'll be able to return/pay forward what I've received and the spirit in which it was given. Rob

Took the OYO's down to the local hi-fi store Sat. where they went up against the largest, 3-way non-floor standing in the place. Should have taken a cd of some choice cuts- all they had was a cd from an auto audio competition in CA. last summer, emphasising sub performance.

I had a little buzz in the left cabinet with the lowest contra bass notes. I've narrowed it down to the xo board not being screwed down all the way. Will remedy today- my screws were too long and I didn't want them poking out the cabinet!

The others couldn't even play the notes! The manager summed it up with, "Yours have better range, and clarity. Fix the vibration, bring them back with some music and we'll have the owner listen." I think he liked them! (I rarely toot my own horn, but I felt mighty proud. The others sounded muddy by comparison.)

I'll find out what speaker I was competing with on Mon. Wish I had payed attention to what it was, but I was too giddy. They sell a lot of Polk Audio, but I can't find it on the net, so it must be a different company's.
