:D Now that I'm on my computer more, I decided to beef up the speakers. I hated the sound of the old ones but didn't want to spend alot of money on new bookshelf speakers either. So I decided to go with some old tweeters I had and some drivers that were buyouts or on sale from PE. And it had to stay real small.
I used some cheap 1/2" Birch to make the lil enclosures and just applied some Polyurethane to make them look decent. The 2" Aluminun cone drivers are the buyouts from PE. They are crossed over at 160 hz - 4khz .
The Infinity tweeters are from some old component speakers, I once had in my car.
The real star of the whole thing is the 4" Dayton ND105-4. I built a little .225 cubic foot box tuned to 55 hz. The slot port is flared at both ends and is fired down. This little woofer is a monster for it's size. I never thought I could get that much bass out of such a little woofer. :D
The amp for these is from my old Altec Lansing computer speakers I had.
