Hello all,
I have a pair of Tang Band W5-704D that I'd like to try in a TL or TQWT of some sort. (I'll add a tweeter for the highs.) I tried using John Rutter's calculator, but I'm not sure I'm reading it correctly. It tells me the volume should be 1567.8 in^3. The height should be 32.3 inches with a pipe length of 61.6 inches and a throat area of 14 in^2. With that said, will it work if I use the height of 32.3 inches, a width of 6.5 inches, and a depth of 7.5 inches? Now comes the parts on which I'm drawing a blank. The throat, the mouth, and the angles of the throat piece and the slanted piece. I'm not sure which is which and what the right numbers are for them.
If there are more suggestions for this driver, I'm open to them. I'd like to try something other than a monkey coffin without having to add more drivers (other than a tweeter).
Thanks,
Mike
