If they sound like they look you will have done very well indeed! How deep do they play to 30hz?

I'll post some meaurement sweeps for you once I get the other speaker assembled and rocking. I have built in EQ from the Behringer so I should be able to make up for any nulls. I know my room has a few issues as bass at the listening position isnt quite as strong as it is from other areas of the room. (This is with one speaker in place though, I'll have to see how that balances out with the second one up and running). Stay tuned, I should have something up by the weekend.

Very nicely done! I like the contrast of the wood to the gloss black.

                      Thanks gents!

Just a few more pics. Got the other speaker assembled last night and got started on trying to tune them.
I think I will try moving them a tad wider. Imaging was very nice and locked right in place. Those Tangband midranges are awesome. I need to play a bit with the crossover settings to find the sweet spot, but Im pretty close already. After that, I'll do some measurments (thx Dennis) and see where Im at for some fine adjustments.

For some reason, this picture came out weird and it looks like the woofers arent lined up correctly ? iPhone fail? Forgot to take pics of the backs with binding posts, etc. Tonight...

Wow. Nice job on those. And active x-over to boot. Love the gloss and the Black and Tan motif (see anything can be brought back to drinking:p).

How has your Behringer DCX been doing for you? I have had some people at another forum knock using really any pro gear and Behringer in particular for Hi-Fidelity applications. I haven't had the chance to use my DCX in a 2 or 3 way setup as of yet (just sub management) but that day is coming :D

Way to go man! They look awesome.

I was wondering. Did you coat the cabinets with a non-paint primer? I was just curious what your method was to conceal seams. Looking ahead to my paint work. Was going to do the Trench method if possible.....
                          Builds - C-Killa - Speedsters - LithMTM - Talking Sticks - Pocket Rockets - Khanspires - Dayton RS Center - RS225/28A - Kairos - Adelphos - SEOS TD12X - Dayton 8 - Needles - 871S - eD6c - Overnight Sensations - Tritrix (ported) - Lineup F4 - Stentorians - The Cheapies - Tub Thumpers - Barbells - Tuba HT - Numerous subwoofers - probably missing a few...... :p

Thanks Jinjuku. As for the Behringer, its been fantastic. I guess I just dont have the same golden ears as the 'audiophiles'...? Its very transparent and is ultra flexible. I'd highly recommend it.

I ended up not doing a coating. I did 5 good coats of Evercoat Featherfill G2 high build primer and it did quite well. Just get the seams sanded to the point where you cant feel any transitions between joining panels and then do your primer and you should be good to go. ;) I'm looking forward to seeing your build as it continues to progress. Impressive work you've got going on there Joey!

Beautiful work, love the attention to detail. Don't know if I have that kind of patience!

So did we wax or seal the gloss after the compound? (did I miss it?) Isn't there some type of car sealant that repells dust?

Just like car paint (since that's what it is), I'll have to wait a few months before waxing them. After the cutting compound I used a Meguiars 'mirror glaze' pure polish ;)
