  • My TriTrix and table

Instead of boring everyone with another stock TriTrix build I tought I would just show the final product, and a sofa table-ish thing I built to improve the WAF because she didn't want an "Ugly bookshelf."

Left and right are TL versions and center is sealed. "The Drake" subwoofer. As you can see I still have a little cable management to do but they sure sound purdy. After using Pioneer's room flattening software built into the receiver I threw on some Rush and I think I cried a little . May not be the uber high end but the best I've ever owned.
    Thanks Curt.

Here is a crossover, ugly but it works.

The only things that is real wood are the table legs and some of the fancy trim pieces. For the most part it's MDF.

Outstanding job! Well executed and well thought out (WAF is always important!)

lol I'm just giving ya crap! :p

How's that Pioneer receiver treating you? I'm considering one very similar to that one for my parents mini home theater build.

So far so good. The tritrix's seem to be able to take anything it can dish out. i.e. all the way up

                      hey, nice set up....
did u paint the enclosure or stained them and how exactly did you go about it and your grills , are they custom made or did you make them as well??? I'm hoping to try 1 myself with my own twist for added personal touch of course!!!

                        Re: My TriTrix and table

The raw MDF enclosures were sanded with 80 grit then 120 grit with my DA orbital sander. Then sprayed two coats of lacquer undercoater. Sanded with 220 grit with a palm sander. Then two coats of dark chocolate brown satin acrylic paint with a some flotrol mixed in to help with the brush marks. I wanted a little brushmarking to give an illusion of woodgrain when I glazed it other wise I would have sprayed the acrylic too. Then brushed and wiped a coat of black oil glaze and finished it by spraying a coat of satin polyurethane.
