It's been a lot of fun getting a chance to put together my own set of speakers. For the finish, I used curly maple veneer with oil-based semi-gloss poly on the box and spray truck bedliner for the front baffle. Thanks to Paul for the awesome design and Erich at diysoundgroup for the supplies!

Re: First Build - OS TM's!
Thanks guys!
I have been using them on and off with a sub. Before these speakers, I had a set of minimus 7's paired with a franken-klipsch promedia 5.1 sub that's powered by a 200W elemental designs plate amplifier (model:lt.200). Since building the overnights, I have started enjoying the music more without a sub, I think partially just because of how impressed I am with the bass response on the overnights!
The veneer came from http://veneersupplies.com and for a great price! To be honest, the orientation could have been planned a bit better on my part but all in all I'm happy with it. I used titebond II wood glue and rolled it on both the box and veneer, then ironed on with a towel over the wood, cut edges with a razor, and sanded them smooth. Seams look darn near perfect!
I can't wait to get started on my next project... which will be a set of Hitmakers for mine and my friend's recording studio
