Again, I never meant anything negative, the dirty truth is, That I did not want to admit: I built some
subs a long time ago, very similar size with just dayton drivers, 3/4 ply with brads and glue same kind of bracing
and the braces actually broke off the back of the cabinet about 6 months later at a ****** dance club,
with only about 800 watts (rms) but what the f*ck do I know!
my main 3 2013 clients have a combined 20+ grammy's and all 3 have me doing speaker work.
I would hope I am doing something right and can offer some insight on this forum.
Guess xmax's age.
My guess: 15. His grammar is passable. His trolling is good.
Haha no worries man, sometimes people just don't see where you're coming from. That's ok. I unfortunately side with everyone else on this debate. Properly braced panels such as Nyts will not resonate. I have never heard the sanway but I have heard the ipr2 7500 (20 amp) and the QSC RMX2450 (20 amp). Even though both technically should run the limits of the 20 amp service (QSC 2400 watts and peavey 7500 watts) there was no comparison. The peavey just had so much more to give.

Now durability I can see being a valid argument. I've loaded these up with PL and reinforced the ones that weren't holding solid. I had some issues with this originally as my heater did not stay on when the PL was curing. Sounded awful when the bracing cracked loose. Due to the way I originally built this box, leaving space open for testing and tuning the port, some bracing had to be added after the fact which made it very difficult to get a good bunch of glue on the mating surfaces of each side of it. I don't expect to have this problem on the next builds.
I tested the rest of the bracing by bashing on it with a mallet in every direction, any that cracked free were cleaned up, re-glued, and had more material added. Didn't take a picture of the repaired bracing, but will take one and post later. You can see some one of the cracked ones below.
Lifting a 400lb+ box with the drivers in it is going to torque the entire thing like crazy. Everything is holding solid at this time, so not really worried about it.
I have a bad habit of overbuilding, the aforementioned 3/4" cabs I built were supposed to be "portable"
I once built some dynaudio monitors with 3/4" mdf then 3/4" of sand then another 3/4" mdf LOL!
when the studio owner moved out, he just took out the drivers and left them! He could not get anybody
to help him move them!

Seriously, if I move, this is gonna be a pain I've considered this, and came to the conclusion that I"ll just need a bigger moving truck :(
The sacrifices we make! lol
As it is, I'm gonna have a bunch of 6-7cubic foot enclosures to get rid of. Wonder if anyone will want em.
Of course They're out already for painting. The fun part is going to be stacking these. Especially since there's only 3" clearing to the ceiling :( Will have to lift them with the drivers in. They're too heavy to mount any other way than when dropping into the top.
I don't know why I do this... like building my shed under my deck... That was fun to roof. Impact nailer to the rescue.
Ok when you get this system done, please tell me at what level (1-11) do your eyeballs start to distort the led's on you system?
That being said the reproduction should be extremely clean at civilized levels. don't sh*t yourself.

Oh, I already have eyeball vibration and difficulty breathing when I crank this Currently when cranked, excursion was going nuts from 15-20hz, so this new alignment should cut that down a bit. This is gonna be fun
