The Workshop Box

So I'm new to speaker building but want to learn. After looking at all the Projects on this page, searching boombox projects on different speaker build sites and researching the boominator (and the mini boominator) I've decided I want to build the "Workshop Box" found here @ Parts Express in the Speaker Project Gallery. It's classy, it's technical, it looks good and it has "punch."

Here are my questions.
1: Has anyone built this project and what are your build notes?
2: Did you build it to specs or vary? I'm thinking I would like to upsize it slightly to a 6 or 6.5" woofer and larger full range speakers.
3: Are two amps necessary or can this all be handled with a four way amp and the proper crossovers?
4: The pictures are wonderful but leave a bit to be desired ie: various critical connection points are not shown.

Input would be helpful. As soon as I finish installing the wood flooring in my house, I will gladly upload my build notes to insure that future builders get the input I requested.

This forum is for finished project photos and links to the build threads. Any type of inquiry is likely going to be better answered over in Tech Talk than here in the Gallery.

FWIW- that build in the 'Showcase', is another PE customer's contribution, and he may not be a member of this forum. If he isn't, I doubt you'll get much info that you ask for.
