My second speaker build was a version of Paul Carmody's Sprite, powered by the Lapai LT-2020A+ with a Belkin bluetooth module concealed inside. Parts and inside dimensions all the same as Paul's Sprite. Has some cedar from a previous project, planed to 3/4" and joined with plenty of biscuits to minimize movement. The outlet on the back is there to plug a phone or laptop charger into. Couple cleats on the back hold the cord when not in use (actually wraps up neater than what picture shows). Front is sealed, all access through the back, filters are in speaker compartments, everything else in the center. The only thing I may change is getting a 5A power source for the amp, really sounds great as it is!:blues:

Re: Cedar Sprite
Thanks! No battery...I know where I'm going to use this 95% of the time and an outlet is right there so I wanted to save the weight. Most of the time I will just use my laptop with Bluetooth so there's only the one power cord needed, but if someone wanted to charge a phone or the laptop was getting low, I could plug right into the back without messing with a buch of wires or extension cords. I could easily add a usb charging port or a 3mm input jack if I wanted to later, but mainly wanted a simple decent BT speaker!

Re: Cedar Sprite
Great execution. I'll bet it smells nice, too. :DIsn't it about time we started answering rhetorical questions?
