I am building their DS1200 kit. In the past I have used mostly solid wood but Iowa winters are DRY and those projects are relegated to the moister basement for 5 months. Therefore, I went with veneer this time and of course I could not go a solid color and wanted to do some diamonds! I'll post the completed sub when finished.

Re: Rythmic Audio sub build
Oh, I forgot... that is adhesive backed veneer. Once I placed the pieces, I ironed them on as I believe that activates the adhesive a bit better.
First, I cut a piece of poster board to the same size as the sub sides. Then, I marked the center points and connected with a pencil to form the diamond. I then cut the diamond shape of the poster board out using a razor blade and straight edge. Simultaneously, the diamonds for the walnut were formed. I then took those poster board shapes and traced them on the veneer and again cut with a razor and straight edge. I made the straight edges (box edges) of the triangle pieces slightly larger than needed so I had some play in placement and then trimmed the outside edges.
