Re: Curved side speakers
More pics showing progress. I used 3/8" bendable plywood for the sides with rubber drawer liner in between with lots of Titebond glue between plys. PL premium was used between first ply and frame. Lots of staples and nails and the cabinet is very solid. First pic is the liner with glue spread ready for second ply layer. Second pic is with all front board with veneer attached and recesses cut. More pics in next post.

Nice so far." To me, the soundstage presentation is more about phase and distortion and less about size. However, when you talk about bass extension, there's no replacement for displacement". Tyger23. 4.2015

Re: Curved side speakers
Looking good, Ken.
It looks for all the world to be solid wood, I guess thanks to the way you handled the front baffle.
Nice!

Re: Curved side speakers
Ken , your output is simply staggering. Your work ethic is a lot better than mine!
You could do us all a great favor and walk us thru your next veneer project with step by step pics. My winter's project is going to require a good amount of veneering, and I've love to see just how YOU do it.
