Thank you to Curt, Jim and Wayne for designing these! This was my first home audio project and I'm very pleased with the way they turned out. They sound far better than my expectations and anything that I could afford from the big stores for that matter. I got the knockdown kit from PE and the build was pretty simple and straightforward. The only problem I had was getting the second side on to close the boxes. It did not matter how much I aligned them, they would not go on without some major force. I finished them with Krylon Satin Black spray bombs. Anyway, I did not take any pictures of the build. I think the tritrix tl's are pretty well covered, it is a kit. But, thought I would share the finished product and thank the guys responsible for creating / designing them.

Re: My Tritrix TL's
Very good job. How did you like the krylon? I used rustoleum on my first build and wasn't to happy with the round spray pattern. Did you finish sand these or just leave them alone after final paint? Keep up the good work.

These were my first build as well. They are very impressive speakers for a modest price. My Build Thread's

Re: My Tritrix TL's
Thank you,
Joe, I don't think you'll see that much difference. Maybe a little extra on the low end. I hooked mine up before I closed them with the second side and they sounded pretty good then. I definitely have more bass now, but that's expected since they were basically just mounted to the baffle without an enclosure. If you're running a sub as well I wouldn't worry about it unless you just want to build them.
Okiefz1, I used the "Dual 2 in 1" paint and liked the way it came out. I did try their regular enamel and had a real big problem with bluing, probably because I live in South Florida and our humidity stays between 80-100% this time of year. The Dual didn't have this problem and I didn't have to do any finish sanding on my last coat, which I laid on pretty thick. I thought about finishing with some polyurethane, but kind of like the look as they are.

Re: My Tritrix TL's
Still just BLOWN AWAY by how good these sound and what an incredible value these are. The more I listen to them the better they sound. I am really really glad I went this way instead of buying a brand name and paying for the label. I was looking at Klipsch references and also liked the Martin Logan motions. Either way I would have spent a couple grand for a complete HT setup ($700-800/pair or more). I think these would easily hold their own against either one.
