Liking the black with wood finish. The Z stands are a nice touch too.

yes i do, but i will have to make a wall mount stand for the center which im still drawing up on autodesk. In quite a bit of a pickle there. these will be used for my "music studio" not so much home theater use because I already have a 5.1 dynaudio kits for that purpose. Thanks for checking them out

thanks finishes took forever, Tried using polyurethane for the wood finish, HUGE mistake. Just ended up sanding that all off and going with a liquor finish. Learned a good primer will make all the difference too. Figured that the hard way as well. Thanks much

Do I need to put my glasses on or are the drivers only surface mounted instead of flush mounted? Anybody have an idea on how this will affect the sound?

I do not have a cnc or a router jig so surface mounting was my only way to go. There really isn't much of a difference in sound if you go one way or another. its purely just looks. I've read up on alot of speaker theory and there wasn't anything about it. if you really want to affect the sound in a good way, I recommend keeping all the faces the same length, and having sonotube in as the heart of your speaker and have the drivers sealed to them. That is how I made my dynaudio speaker kit. Makes allllll the difference.

I was digging around Madisound when I came across this and recognised the look. Did you get your inspiration for the design from here? Also how did you go about painting the sides without messing up the veneer and how did you stain the veneer without messing up the paint? I've been trying to figure out how to do this on my own but finding information about it is difficult.
