    Re: Tang Band W4 build

People seem to have very strong opinions on the odor of pure tung oil.
Some find it quite pleasant and others would rather never experience it again.

When it's incorporated in a varnish it is not normally detectable.

Not pure tung oil, but one of the very few products called a "tung oil finish" that contains actual tung oil.
Waterlox is another good finish that contains real tung oil.

The filter he used will not work well with the W4-1320. Look up Roman Bednarek's "Bandits".

The speakers will be for my plasma tv ( I'm getting old and want to understand dialogue better ) and I'm going to attempt to run them filter less-- if that doesn't work out--I'll look at the "Bandits"--- thanks Wolf

Thank you Nels -- it looks very interesting -- I've got the round " bamboo " version of the 1320, the SIF -- the filter looks like simplicity itself.

Post up a picture when you get it built. I like the look of the bamboo drivers.

I got my crossovers assembled and installed the other day, just need to build a matching sub now.

nice work , thanks for sharing.
I have these same drivers but in Lou C's Amethyst design . A little more full range sounding than the OS build.
I was going to try making the Whetstones with the same driver for my TV but haven't as of yet
