    Good evening all.
First and foremost I would like to extend a most sincere thank you to JR and Wolf for designing these and releasing them to the public.
I completed these about 2 weeks ago and have been listening to them at low to moderate levels. The Tashas in my opinion are very clear and articulate. The mids are killer! As for the Triumphs, I am amazed at the sound that these little subs produce. Well today, I finally kicked up the volume a good bit(-10 db on a Denon 3811) and had a good listening session with Leppard, Maiden, Ratt, Sugar Ray and Harry Connick jr. and was thoroughly blown away! The look on my brother's face was priceless.[emoji50] I can forsee building something for him too...
I'm going to move this setup into my bedroom and hook them up to another Denon, my older 3806. I am also planning on building another pair of Tashas in the near future to have a 4.2 BR system.
    Again, thanks fellas!!

If that's the 100W plate, be advised they will not take all of that power easily. Be careful....

Later, and glad the look on his face was priceless!!!!

I'm very glad you like the Tasha.
Don't listen to me - I have not sold any $150,000 speakers.

Those are NICE!! And ooh... I'd to see a MTM with those specific drivers and similar subs with the W8-740P. The ultimate for me would be if the mains were powered by the NLA MCM bi-amp plates but with just enough passive components to correct minor anomalies.

The indicator on the gain control knob is set at 9:00, or around 1/4 power. I find that it is PLENTY!! Appreciate the warning.

Agreed Tin ears. If one would design a similar sub with the 740P, well, I would have to build a pair....
Thanks for the kind words y'all.

Agreed! I realize these are NFM's, but is the possibility of using them as HT/music mains and making them as MTM's, center, dipoles, etc possible?

Great looking build by the way! On my Christmas list.

It delivers a real 25 watts RMS of power, which is not an exaggerated figure like found in most typical multimedia systems. With a solid 25 watts, it has enough oomph to reach 100 dB with many drivers. Measuring only 6-1/4" square, the 25-watt amp will fit in even the smallest enclosures.Specifications: • Measured power output: 15 watts RMS into 8 ohms @ 0.1% THD, 25 watts RMS into 4 ohms @ 0.2% THD • Signal to noise ratio: 90 dB (A-weighted) • Power requirement: 120 VAC • Dimensions: 6-5/16" W x 6-5/16" H x 2-9/16" D • Enclosure cutout: 5-1/4" W x 5-1/4" H.With a Dayton Audio 5 year warranty, it’s more than a guarantee, it’s a promise. Apparently the KG3100 2.1 amp is now NLA from Mad, which was the other option as far as power, IMO. The 70W/100W will fit, but are really too much power full bore, and the housing would have to be removed.

I ordered the parts for the Tasha's last night. I also ordered the Lepai LP-168HA 2.1 2x40w mini amp +1x68w sub output.

                      http://http://www.parts-express.com/lepai-lp-168ha-21-2x40w-mini-amplifier-1x68w-sub-output--310-308

Would this mini amp work to drive this combination or would I still need the plate for the Triumph sub?

Thanks Wolf.... BTW, the flora and fauna in the picture suggests that Brasspile is in the South. I am in SC and not aware of anyone nearby who posts or even does DIY. So, if anyone is near, and would not mind messages from me re how to, let me know.

If you supply enough voltage and current to the 168, it should be fine. I use a 13.5VDC/8.2A supply with mine. How it'll blend is another thing, because the 168 has an inherent EQ.

Material for my build is 3/4 mdf, valspar latex primer(2 coats) and rustoleum kona brown(4 coats) all sprayed on with napa spray gun. Havent done the clear yet, dont really think I need to.
