    I'll keep this one short.

I have finally finished my C-Killa build (cabs need finishing). It took a year to complete. Not because I didn't know what I was doing, but because I had other priorities in life. You know, like getting married!

Considering their size and the overall cost of the project, they sound great! Not fatiguing at all. Refined and slightly warmer than other speakers I've heard. I can see why the Dayton RS's get a good rap though. Lou C. sums it up pretty well, " Great for just about anything, but not the "perfect" design for any one application." I've set them up as my surrounds for now. Sometime, I imagine, I will set them as mains in some configuration for myself or a family member where a smaller footprint is needed.

Wherever you are Lou C., I hope you are smiling and resting in peace. It was the perfect 1st build. Thank you Lou C. and to all of those on this site. I now am infected with the DIY bug.

    Now...what to build next...???

    Looks good!

You have a plan for cabinet finishing yet?

      Re: C-Killa

      Thanks!

I'm thinking of painting it all black except the baffle, which I want to make white. I believe this would give a nice contrast between everything. I've seen finishes like the one I will do and I like it! I've done a TON of research on different ways people have finished their speakers, specifically MDF. If I take my time and am patient, I should get decent results. I don't want too do anything to crazy for my first go around.
