  • Question about Series/Parallel Wiring

If I were to Series/Parallel wire a 2 subwoofers (Dayton Audio LS10-44 10" Low Profile Subwoofer Dual 4 Ohm)...

...and treated each dual voice coil sub as TWO subs as in this diagram.

top two subs = One Dayton Audio LS10-44 10" Low Profile Subwoofer Dual 4 Ohm
bottom two subs = One Dayton Audio LS10-44 10" Low Profile Subwoofer Dual 4 Ohm

    I could get a 500w sub at 4ohms. Correct?

This question should be posted in the Tech Talk Forum. This forum is the Speaker Project Gallery, meant to show off completed projects.

      Re: Question about Series/Parallel Wiring

The diagram shown would present a four ohm load to the amp and the speakers should be able to handle the 500 watts as rated by the woofer specification after an adequate break in period..
