Ben you would have a melt down if some one used a name that you had already used for one of your designs. Adding "Jr" is not good enough, the name needs to be changed.
Miera is the 'way he said it', not the name it was. AND- the name was never mentioned before Meniscus, even though he'd worked on it awhile. Derek picked his in July.

Well- if it has not been used publicly prior, I won't have an issue with it. DLR and dlneubec both have 'Chameleons', and that is the only other instance I know that has not been rectified.

And- yes, he mentioned Lambo company, I got that. But he said it 'Me-air-uh'. I know he did, and I muttered the correct pronunciation under my breath as I exited the room during the loud way he plays stuff. I get Miura was intended, but not what was said.

You are telling a lie. We used the name for months before the show and he never pronounced the name like that. I am sure it was just like you inncorrect pronunciation of the Kairos. it is not Kair -os like you pronounced it, it is Kai-ros. just because you pronounce it that way does not make it so always.

How to say miura in English? Pronunciation of miura with 3 audio pronunciations, 1 meaning, 7 translations, 1 sentence and more for miura.

Jeff says 'Kare-oss', so I say it as he does. It is NOT from Egyptian, but from Greek. He named it and ought to know.

Matt and I have talked and I am going to stick with the Jr name as it is more fitting for my speakers as they are not that big.

Technically, if you want to argue pronunciation of the word "Miura", Top Gear pronounced it more like "mir-uh", this is also how Jay Leno pronounces it. I pronounced it more like "my-u-ra" when I announced it. And what you're saying doesn't entirely add up... so you're saying you knew I named it after the Lamborghini Miura, but you just thought I was a moron and couldn't find out how to spell it correctly? Please explain.

Yes, and FTR, I didn't meet Derek in Kentucky :p. Hopefully one of these days we'll run into each other though, and maybe I'll get to hear your Miura JRs :D.

Changing the subject here a bit...

Is the spacing between the drivers a bit different from left to right? Or is that an optical illusion?

My statement of 'Miera' was only to reflect the pronunciation in reference to 'Miura', as you never used 'Miera' as I spelled it here. I don't think you're a moron.
Both were Miura as typed and introduced here on PETT.

And Craig- I never said I was wrong or right in the pronunciation of 'Kairos', just that I say it how Jeff says it (You can go look if you want), and that it's his project. He says 'Kayr-oss', so that is what it is. The reference to Greek vs Egyptian is that 'Cairo' is as most people state the name of this project, and is also generally the first thought about origin as I've seen here on the forum. I didn't get 'caught up in my own story'. It's the truth.

Derek- nice work! Sorry if I dragged down your thread,

You plainly stated that Kai -ros was the incorrect pronunciation of the name. But this is just like you stating you "mis-rememdeted." It is ok to just say I was wrong. Can you admit that you are occasionally wrong ? We are all wrong at times. The rest of us can admit it, we don't have to protect our ego by stating we mis-remembered. It is still ok if you have to "mis-remember" tjough.
