Damn, it looks like there's a lot of creativity and new ideas going on there. I'm sad I missed it. (crying tears into my coffee)
Isn't it about time we started answering rhetorical questions?

A lot of the videos are having one or the other song as "Copy Right violation" and you tube promptly mutes the entire video... Still struggling with this. Apologize if any of the videos have no audio

Yes, you were missed, Paul. At least we didn't have to call you about your laptop this year....=-)

Ani- thanks for the vids. I'm also going to add that while the Cecropia complained on the Patricia Barber cut at the event with a lot of power and a very large room, I've not been able to get them to do that here at home at a good moderate level. They did take the bass ranges in the rest of the songs on the challenge we used just fine though.

Also- my cousin Greg always shows up at these. He had to check to see if the Kablamm was on when mine played later in the afternoon just before closing up for the day.

Kristie really wants me to coax the plans from Rory. In fact, I think she'd probably like to build them herself. :D

That DanP from MI has definitely improved on his design skills. The Baronettes were very nice, and likely Dan's best work. I also liked his DIY-AMT-woofered Hurricanes.
I know Dan was not happy with the Hurricanes, and yeah, there was an obvious tilt to the voicing. HOWEVER, I think it's worth noting that there were very few speakers that did not suffer from the aggressive room-bloom. The dipole-esque Hurricanes were one of them. Even if the bass was different from what Dan experienced at home, it was certainly there, and I did feel a nice little tactile "thump" hiding in the mix. He's made me very interested in trying an OB.

I was very happy with how Mark and my co-designed Präzise turned out. It was a really big room for those, so some things were a bit much for them, but man are they a clean sound. Mark voiced them rather well, especially for his first effort!
This was another speaker that had really good bass in the room. Dunno if it was just coincidentally perfect placement or what. Regardless, I was a big fan.

Scott's Zirconium were everything Scott said they were- and a lot of fun!!
x2. They don't mess around. Factoring in the silly performance:dollar ratio, it seems like the kind of speaker that's worthy of being "the next big kit". Once the writeup is sorted, I'll be recommending this one. A lot.

I don't know that Dirk's F5ba/BC25 really needed a sub like he thought they did. I thought they did admirably.
Speaking of tilted voicing, they were definitely too bright....for that room. I put them back in my daughter's room and fired up the Natalie Cole track and...everything sounded right. I think I'm done bringing speakers that are light on baffle step compensation. They just don't do well in the show setting. It's nobody's fault.

          Thank you for coming,
          Wolf
And thank you for all your work, Wolf. Matt, too!

Before Craig sends me a note... I forgot these two. Craig will have to explain his. The MTM is the CSS kit from Meniscus.

OH. Yes. Right! I want in on that action.

That was also *not* the name I heard. I heard "Cicada". Your name makes a bit more sense. :D

...and I just now realized the CSS kit did not get played. Oops. I'm not really sure why I overlooked them, as I was okay with them being presented.

Now it's time for my .02. First off, Thank You Wolf and Dirk for your kind words. I spent quite a bit of time voicing the tweeters and was really worried that they may have sounded a little bright. I'm glad you thought I did OK.

Wolf put on a great show as usual! I had fun talking to the friends I've met in the past and and the new ones like 6th Planet and Steve.

I really liked Rory's Iguanans, both the look and the sound. Steve can really shoot some paint! Shortons work alone will keep me coming back. If he ever decides to sell them there will be a bidding war!

Everything I heard had merit, it's a really talented bunch of guys. The size of the room just doesn't lend itself well to every speaker. With close to 30 pairs though,,,, a room that size is needed.

Like some, I too thought Dans were "Best of Show!" A very FULL range speaker in a really nice box.

So once again Thanks to all that offered up a kind word for my Prazise! Not that I need anymore speakers but maybe next year I'll improve and build something with woofers that don't flap in the breeze.

                    Mark

                          The only ones I missed hearing were #25 Paul C/ Mike 220 RS28A, RS225P-8 and #12 Jason's Lucent 2015 Peerless GFC 830990, SB26 ADC.

Chuck, what do you need more time for? Could you possibly bring even more projects?

There were lots of really good speakers. I found myself enjoying the music more than looking for flaws.

We played them late Friday night. The combo of the room being bass heavy and front ported caused them to be super tubby and what I think dirk was calling bloom. The first 2-3 rows it was very prominent but back further was more balanced. We had to leave a few hours early so they didn't play saturday.

John, your mtm was pretty sweet looking. I wanted to chat about the rear mounted tweeter and edge treatment measure similar to it being flush mounted. What changes did you see if so?

I really liked rory's Iguana's. If you closed your eyes you would swear it was a larger speaker. Unbelievable sound quality out of $130 in drivers. Its the best budget build I have heard so far. It's kind of a disservice to call it a budget build because it makes you feel like something was given up in order to keep the build price down but it was top notch.

Steve's red 2way was killer and great bass in a sealed enclosure.

I also enjoyed 4thtry's widebody especially with the large woofer. That bass was pretty delicious.

Gooly I left at 10:50 Friday night. I must have been asleep if they played before then. WRT the MTM and the recessed drivers the RS ended up with a dip at 1,500 which would have taken a bunch of parts to get by. So the recessed drivers gained nothing except making it easier to mount the truncated drivers close together. The final x-o point was 1,800 with 5 parts.

Iguanas. Chameleons are either a project from Dan Neubecker or DDF.

You mean Ani's? He used the 15" Series II Dayton woofers.
