TLabs N26MGR-G (Even though it is actually a 6 ohm tweeter. The G denotes the former material.)
              Mike Patterson is Chuck's friend.

              TB 25-1743S is the BeCu.

Thanks for informing the masses, John!

              Now for my thoughts...
I think maybe next year we'll try to nuke that room-boom. I have a Behringer FBQ1000 now that we can use to EQ the room, but I was not familiar enough with the unit to make it useful this year. That said- I noticed a bit of smearing and emphasis in the upper-bass/lower-mid range on the larger stuff in particular that might be attributed to this room issue.

It was not really a hard call on the 'Widebodies' winner. I liked all of the entries. Unfortunately Shawn was sick and was not able to bring his challenge-track discs, so we just subbed in DanN's excellent selections.
Scott's 'Indium 7' impressed me with the bass from that 10" DVC in a sealed box, and I already knew the other 2 drivers quite well.
Jason's 'Enterprise' really has the 'most interesting' vote, and I'm looking forward to hearing them in final form. Steel, poured composites, and hardwood- what's not to like?
Chuck's 'Victor' were definitely the prettiest and dove lower much easier than the rest. Kinda counting the chickens before they hatch with a name like that. I might have to get me some VVivid vinyl....
My right channel 'Cecropia' did hiccup with that bass dive Dan's CD unleashed, but otherwise held their own on the rest of the tracks at the same output level.
John Hollander's 'PA Speaker' was one of the smoothest sounding PA rigs I've come across- and they looked the part too! Easily the most sensitive in the running.

My pick for best sound of the weekend- Dan's 'Scimitars'. I'm a big fan of the flat-aluminum-honeycomb drivers from TB, and I'd not heard the -1983 tweeter until now and was impressed with it as well. The RBM woofers really sounded nice. I'd used the W3-1876S before, which was TB's first entry of the dual-surround/no-spider arrangement, but these RBM woofers are really clean and concise.

The Solstice kit that Steve brought did not sound good on the low end of the tweeter on Friday. They were just fuzzy. Saturday- they did not have this issue, and sounded pretty darn nice. I don't know what happened, but I'm glad it did. It seemed most mirrored my thoughts on this.

Yes- Chuck's 'Misfits' are a stellar svelte little tower. Not that Rory's 'Iguanas' aren't either, but I prefer the sound from the Misfits for about the same amount of money. Both are solid for chump change.

That DanP from MI has definitely improved on his design skills. The Baronettes were very nice, and likely Dan's best work. I also liked his DIY-AMT-woofered Hurricanes.

I was very happy with how Mark and my co-designed Präzise turned out. It was a really big room for those, so some things were a bit much for them, but man are they a clean sound. Mark voiced them rather well, especially for his first effort!

This is the 3rd time I've heard the Testarossas, and it was the first time the 70-20 sounded like I expected it should. Lively and engaging they were Saturday. I'm pretty sure the last time I heard them at Jeff's that these had the same xover. Maybe the parts finally broke in....

Scott's Zirconium were everything Scott said they were- and a lot of fun!!

I don't know that Dirk's F5ba/BC25 really needed a sub like he thought they did. I thought they did admirably.

I also really liked the Vultus, Garmachos, and Monuments. Wibbons git down to bidnit!

Except for the weather, and the ballroom breaker trippage, I believe a good time was had by all.
              Thank you for coming,
              Wolf

I came in a bit late and so missed quite a few entries and maybe missed a few through the day too. Since the videos are very large and cumbersome to upload to youtube, please let me know if there are any particular speakers that you would like to be uploaded, and i will go hunt for it and upload it if i have a footage of it!

Lots of terrific looking projects, I wish I could hear them.

I recognize a few of them but...

Is there some reason why more people don't add their designs to the "Completed Projects" area here at Parts Express? It would be nice to easily find these and read more details on them.

I know in the case of the Design Team, our designs are considered complete when we post them to the Project Gallery that is linked from the PE Web Page, not the forum page. In my case, I have migrated the Zirconium writeup back to the forum, but haven't done the Indium 7 yet as I was still completing assembly on Thursday night. In any event, I know you will find a few of the projects in the "other" Project Gallery that you don't see in the forum.
Keep an open mind, but don't let your brain fall out.

Sorry Dan. The same link had got copied and posted. Corrected now....! Just had a look at the construction details on the Project showcase - that's a lot of angles and facets. I still find it daunting to go angular - something might just not line up - i have trouble with straight lines as is!!
