Who has used the DS90?

I noticed the buyout DS90s are on sale for $8. Has anybody had any experience, and should I buy four of them to make a mini MTM with the ND20? Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk

No. Absolutely not. Buy 24 and some PT2C-8's and make shaded line arrays.

I'm also curious, but I would be doing mini cubes for surrounds, fullrange or with a tweeter. Probably the ND20 like you said.

How do they compare to Hivi B3N's which I already have? $8 sounds like a great price for those anyway.

The HiVis can go lower, but need a larger box, and can't take any power.
The DS90s can go in about 0.05cf, and can still make it to 80Hz if you vent them.
At 12 watts, they'll manage 95dB. They probably won't do the top octave well, but don't think you'd notice on surrounds much.

Looks like a really nice project. They will be paired up with a 6.5" powered sub for bedroom TV use, so only being able to play down into the 70s wont bother me much. Do you happen to have your XO schematics on hand? Curious as to how they would perform swapping the tweeter for the ND20FA that I already have on hand. Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk

I would assume not since they are so discounted. For $8 a pop they are worth the risk I assume. Gonna order a bunch tomorrow and decide which route to go, something like what hong did under my bedroom tv would be pretty sweet. Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
