What is the first layer, the raft or support, bonding to? MakerBot uses a glass plate covered with what looks like wide blue masking tape. Stratasys uses throw-away plastic plattens. I've reused them withought a problem, but suspect they have a limited run.

I'm trying masking tape now, seems to be working.
Also even though this printer is supposed to be self
leveling, seems one side is low. 2 extra layers of tape
seems to be fixing that until I sort it out.Guess xmax's age.

How well did the the throat area print? Critical area, the SLS nylon method makes great prints, but I worry about hobbyist type PLA printers.

What effect do you anticipate the rougher surface may have, is it likely to be audible? If it isn't smooth enough, he may be able to sand it. That worked on a guide I printed, though I don't recall if the filament was PLA. It will be interesting to see how his results/graphs compare to yours.

Playing with temps etc and rotating and moving the part on the table,
The ABS one I am printing right now is looking "perfect". I need to look into
SLS nylon. This printer will print all sorts of materials like carbon fiber
copper (mixes) etc. I will be getting some next week. What 26mm
tweet did you use, in what size baffle and what was the mic distance.
And yes it looks the material sands nicely.Guess xmax's age.

Looks like you're keeping with, and advancing the DIY spirit of augerpro's initial post beginning this thread a few years ago, by producing guides from an inexpensive 3D printer, and, soon to testing, and posting results. It will also probably encourage others to do the same. Which is not to take anything at all away from his work, quite the contrary, you're confirming the validity of his initial idea and challenge, and moving it forward.

That said, I understand what you are saying. Waveguides potential strengths of
time alignment, lower distortion and directivity (alone) makes them too valuable
to not research, optimize and utilize! 15 minutes ago, I had my CNC milling a WG
for a Wavecor/Wavecor combo, the printer rocking this SB and me messing with
a pro sound 1.4" all at the same time, you could say I have the bug!Guess xmax's age.

We are trying it again with a added "support" this is literally the first thing I have
ever tried printing (since I can easily mill WGs).
However 3D printing is the future, I might as well embrace it now and it's a ton
of fun! Thanks again for all your excellent work. I can't help to think these
were the inspiration (or you were involved). I know Revel uses SB too.
And their speakers incredible!

I have a good feeling about this SB21RDC, I'm making test baffles for both now,
how big was your (augerpro) baffle and how far away way your test mic?
And do you have a 2D DXF, my donkey brain can't figure how to make
one yet?!
I will test with and without sanding. (I'm guessing not much difference)

My trials from printing a WG for the large Beryllium dome Bliesma
First pic has a large vertical span to make it closer to augepro Soundeasy plots. Second one shows a simulation where a single 3.9uF cap is added in series.
The driver: BlieSMa T34B-4
Waveguide: 165mm diameter - profile is a section of a radius of bigger circle. Printed on Prusa i3 MK2.5 - 0.2mm layer with linear advance, material PETG
Test baffle - 220mm x 700mm baffle as intended for the final project (2.5way with 2x Satori MW16P)
Test conditions:
Mic to baffle distance for off axis measurements: 600mm

xmax - if you mean how to export DXF from Fusion 360, then it's a bit of a process but doable
a) front the left project selection list click on the version number of your project of interest. That will open a "View details on web" option.
b) Open the project in web and in top right corner is an option to export to DXF... the system will process it in cloud and send you a link few min later.

Very impressive! Although I'm sure you will be using a series notch filter (I would look closely
at the work Pete S has done with big domes and WG's) And a much lower actual filter in the
final design. (you could circumvent the surround blip of the Satori MW16P).
Looking at HiFi compasses work with that tweet and your beautiful WG that tweet
should have no problem digging deep!
May I ask were you source the Tweets?
