Peerless 830657 for <$6a piece!

So, I was perusing Amazon earlier and stumbled on to a listing for two 830657s for $15, or 12 for $70! So, needless to say, I have a few coming. What are some good projects for these that are out there? At this price, could we see an influx of new projects ala the Aura NS6 craze? Exciting stuff, y'all. I'd love to see some Stentorian-esque monstrosities featuring these woofers, and at this price, why not?

I noticed that too. Since the listing wasn't created by the seller, I'm not sure the spec sheet isn't just the wrong one. Maybe reverse image search will show whatever driver that sheet is for.

Its lower Q (going by actual 830657 specs) and yet lower Fs LOOKS like it would model similarly to the NS6 afa box size and bottom end rolloff are concerned. Weren't the Stents more of a closed/aperiodic design (due to their highish Q)? THESE model well vented - too.

Yah, Cut's Stents were stuffed/aperiodic - the NS6's (IIRC) were specced at .55 QTS but actually measured about .65 QTS.

You are correct, accurate T/S parameters are critical.
that said, they wouldn't be a "drop in" - the crossover for sure would be different.

I'll run the model tonight, but I'm thinking about 6 drives per side. Effortless, "hit you in the chest" and "you are there" SPL and very low distortion are the goals.

I saw this morning at 8 am when I clicked on "buy a case of 12" that QTY 5 were left. Figured they wouldn't last long. Understatement for sure.
Even if you have to buy a pair at a time, it's still a great bargain, at $90 for 12.

I emailed the seller to see if they have more to sell, and was told that they will have another batch to Amazon in the next 10-20 days. No comment on the price staying the same, however.

It looks to me that there are still 13 pairs available at this moment. You have to change the "Package Quantity" from 1 to 2 to see the $15 deal on the pair.
I just received mine, these are really nice looking.
