  • Ca I get a little assistance with this project?

Here is something I would just like to finish. Honestly, I don't have the time or inclination to do the measuring. I understand crossovers quite well and I can tweak if need be. But if any of you have the ability to come up with a crossover I would be greatly in debt to you.
    A small 3-way:
    XT25SC90
    RS100-8
    TB W5-704D

Approx half cubic foot tuned to 49hz for the 704D
RS100 has it's own camber (of course)

Originally I was going to drive with a 6-channel NAD 906 amp, but still passive crossovers. I could still do that, would give me fine tuning of the individual driver levels. I do have an unused 906.
But I think now maybe just a regular ol' 3-way with a stereo amp.

If you feel like shipping one or both completed speakers to 48374 and back, I'll measure them and design you a crossover. I don't have time for building lately, so it'd let me keep up my xo chops.

        Sim'd off mfr. data:
        2nd order HP + L-pad: a 12uF series cap, a 0.30mH shunt coil (to gnd), and the "L": SR = 2n (ohms) / PR = 5n.
BP is a tanked 2nd order: 0.60mH series coil (w/a "tiny" 0.33uF cap in parallel), a 60uF series cap, followed by 2 shunts: a 6uF cap, and a 2.0mH coil (higher DCR is OK).
No attenuation on the mid. Reverse polarity is indicated.
2nd order LP: a 6mH (iron core) series coil and a 50uF shunt cap.
        Fcs at 400Hz and about 2.0kHz. Runs around 86dB (+/-1.5dB) w/about +4dBSC.

Did you happen to make a spare baffle?

No I didn't - do you have those drivers?
Chris - BP: the 6uf cap and 2mh coil are across the RS100, right?

Yes, I have all of those drivers, I think - I don't recall for sure whether my RS100 is the 8 Ohm or 4 Ohm version though. Doing a good job cutting the baffle is generally the most difficult and time consuming part of building a test speaker box for taking measurements...
