  • best subwoofer 1.5 cubes 12 inch sealed

I've built several vented subs, but find that somehow the subs don't seamlessly integrate with the TMs.
    (Primarily music).
So I'm looking at sealed subs, and due to a smallish living room, wanted to keep the overall size less than
about 1.5 cubic feet. Reading many, many threads I found that it came down to 2 12 inch subs: RS315HF and
the Ultimax 12. I felt that the price differential was not that great, so I discarded the RS315, and modeled only
    the UM 12.

Without any extra eq, the UM12 in 1.5 cubes has an F3 around 37 Hz:

But (as expected) the UM's healthy 19mm XMAX is far from stressed:

So, dialing in 4 dB boost at 30 Hz produces a much better FR:

    F3 about 28 Hz, F6 about 25 Hz.

Excursion (with added 15%) is just barely exceeded, but should be ok.
I'm really not going to push it that hard ever.
