Really dumb question

I had plan to build another pair of ClassixII's but P-E has a "fire sale" on the BR-1 cabinets. Can I build the "ClassixII's" in the BR-1 cabinet and maybe spackle around the smaller Vifa(Tympany) tweeter?

I think the answer is it will be OK, but I want some reassurance. I have all the guts already except the foam (Wal-Mart mattress topper is what I've been using).

You could fill the gap with black rtv and get a nice glossy black rubber trim ring.

I opted to do a foam covered baffle to cover the gap in a build I'm working on. (I'd post a pic but doing it from my phone makes for a giant pic)

There's a thread somewhere on this Forum where someone asked this very question: Mr Carmody commented on it and said something like it was a good idea, and should work OK.

Try 'Googling' Classix II in BR-1 cabinets and you should find it
