That's me, bald head and all, in the photo talking with Javad and Brian. I've been home now for almost 2 hours after winning first place in the over-$200. The larger room was very nice and much more comfortable by never feeling crowded. The two best speakers played today were the first pair in the morning and the last pair at the end of all competition. Why? Well, we were all excited to get going this morning, and very glad after it was all over ahead of schedule this afternoon!

Needless to say this thing was pretty crazy to behold, and a little intimidating to sit in front of at the judges table. I commend the thought process behind its creation without a doubt.

Sorry Kenny! These have been a very long two days. I'm surprised I'm still up at this point.

I took plenty of pics along with a few other people. I tried to get a shot of every entry from the judges table but it will take a while to upload them all. I'll probably have to do that tomorrow or Monday.

Quickie update about the whole show: I feel like this went very smoothly and the extended room had pretty much everything to do with that. We also added an "on deck" area for the next contestant to show, so that made things go very quickly. The larger room gave us some issues with finding a good playback level but we got it dialed in pretty well. There will always be a few bugs to work out with a new layout.

I felt honored to be a judge this year. This was really my first show since I'm usually working the tent sale, so this whole experience was pretty new to me and I had an absolute blast. There were SO many great sounding and great looking projects this year, and obviously some very unique designs as well. I've never had the opportunity to sit and listen to so many different designs at once so it was a real eye opener for me personally.

I hope everyone who attended had a good time, felt welcome and liked the new space. I have zero info about the actual tent sale, so someone else will have to provide feedback on that.

I'll post my pics to this thread sometime in the next day or two, unfortunately my busy weekend isn't quite over yet.
