I agree Kevin, that would look very slick and I love the walnut Bill! Really great work as usual.

Is that name, or at least its spelling, set in stone? It looks like a misprint/typo to me.

Definitely 1, and I like the contrast of 5 as it matches the black of the speakers, but I'd do #1 if it was me. BTW excellent work on these, they look great, can't wait to hear them!

Thanks for all the excellent feedback. I shot a full length comparison of #1 and #5, attached. I think #1 is the clear winner. #5 is OK, but the black does not seem to blend as well with the sand colored side panels. The walnut, with light and dark grain, blends better. The speaker is on the floor, facing up, so the boards stay in place. I'll take some better finished pics and post them next week

That would probably work well. Didn't think of that. The plates were made by a local shop that makes trophies, door plates, and awards. Price was not too bad, about the cost of a medium quality one inch dome tweeter.

Seeing full length, the black looks much better (than the partial view before) and gives some good contrast to make the walnut pop. TOUGH call man!

Use double sided tape to attach and keep all the variations in case the SO want's to redecorate

And those that question the name ... I agree. Having been an engineer, I'm cognizant of the trap of naming something along technical lines. These beauties should derive a name from some classic of the ages; like Greek or Roman gods or architecture. The problem is all those names have been used time and time again. Maybe someone with a a literature background can help out here.

"Coassiale" - Coaxial in Italian but I would never tell.

BTW: If you flip them upside down, they look like the "Uptons".
