  • Meniscus Audio Get together, Sept 15 & 16

Sorry for the short notice, but if anyone would like to join us we're going to have a DIY speaker get together again Friday Sept 15 (at Meniscus), and Saturday Sept 16 at the same hotel we had it last year. I'll post an address shortly. Times will probably be Friday from about 5 pm until we're done... then Saturday from 9 am until about 5 pm. The room at the hotel was incredible last year. On Friday we'll probably have some more fun comparing different CD players, amps, etc. And obviously listening to speakers. Saturday we'll be listening to speakers. I have 2 builds I can bring... If I can talk my friend that I built the Wavecor TM for into loaning them to me for a day I can bring those... and I have my active 3 way build that I can bring for Saturday (this is a huge speaker and I'll need to bring my DSP, amps, preamp, etc).

Let me know who's in! Thanks!

      Hi Matt,

I can't make it this year. I'll be cruising the west coast on vacation in September.

      Have fun!

I'll be there for Saturday! I'm hoping to bring my Fenrir (Wavecor 22mm waveguide and Rival 7" carbon paper), Hybrid Vigor (M3N/RS125-4), and a revamp of the Convergence bandpass via PR sub called Overdrive (UM8-22/RSS315PR). The sub plate amp takes RCA connections.

I agree- it was a good room!

I'm thinking I can make it this year. I'll probably bring the lightning for those that want to hear them, and also a new design I've been working on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Awesome Seth! I can't remember if I heard the Lightnings before or not? You brought a build a few years ago and it was amazing, not sure if that was the Lightning though? Either way I've heard great things about them and can't wait to hear them!

I brought them for the last two InDIYana's, so I was kind of thinking about not bringing them. But, I can if there is interest. Jeff B did the crossover with illuminator drivers. The other I planned on bringing is a two way with an SB carbon woofer as well as a satori tweeter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Im planning on going. I have a little boombox and might bring a smaller 2way.

I am considering selling a 5x100 @8ohm sherwood am-9080 amp, a carver tfm-25 and my emotiva umc200 preamp. Everything is in good shape.

                        9080 $275
                        Tfm25 $225 (have original box)
                        Emotiva umc200 preamp $325

If anyone is interested ill bring it but otherwise they are staying home. That amp will give me a back ache all weekend if i transport it.
