My wife got the shot, she got sick too but not as bad, the doctor told us this years vaccine only helped against
about 10% of the strains (or people that got the shot I was delirious with fever and don't remember) I am still
always going to get the shot just in case it helps.
Also if you do start coughing or come down with a fever go to the doctor and get Tamiflu I got it and it might
be working others tell me it works. I believe in science...Guess xmax's age.
My guess: 15. His grammar is passable. His trolling is good.

I'm not sure I would characterize flu vaccine as a bad gamble.
I work in a hospital and the staff is required to get the shots unless they have a valid reason not to. I have been getting the shots for years and have never had the flu. I would guess that's true for most people.
The shots always lag behind the virus. The thing changes and mutates and there are so many varieties, that it would be near impossible to encompass all the strains in one vaccine, and it takes a while to make new vaccines for the new strain. Meanwhile, the strains continue to do their thing and mutate, so its never a 100% coverage situation. But statistically, there is less flu where the shots are being used.
And many times, those who get the flu after vaccination have a milder course of illness.

I do not get the shot, but I have been sick with flu in the past, if we're basically talking the common head/chest cold. However, since I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 3-4 years ago, this has changed. I don't get as sick as I did before I was on the thyroid hormone. I also take Echinacea, which does seem to shorten the time the cold plagues my life.
Other than that- Craig's notes on prevention are good ones.

I'm no doctor, but from my personal experience the shot is pretty worthless. I got the shot every year (8 years) when my previous employer paid for it and pressured us all to get the shot. I ended up with the flu every single year. My current employer is a cheap skate so I don't go out and get one on my own dime. Past four years and no flu. My wife and kids get the shot every year and end up with the flu at least once a year.Craig

Wash your hands and keep your fingers away from your face is the best medicine against the flu.

Ok, I will contribute to the flu discussion and then swing it back to the original question.
I had the flu for four weeks, went to the VA ER and they gave a ZPak. Feeling much better now.
Now back to the tweeter question. How about the CAT 308? Good enough for the 5 inch Ceramic woofer for a possible LR2? Seems the tweeter can handle down to 1500 hz.

It's a 28mm dome, not a 25mm dome. It does fine at 1.8kHz for sure.
