Some new data, this test is running the tweets on the SEOS Wave guide (except the Wavecor and Seas) filtered at 2K and 1.5K LR24
actively, the important thing to look at here, is how low the 2nd (solid line) and 3rd (dashed line) harmonic distortion are below the
FR curve and how much higher the distortion is compared to the output at both 1.5K and 2K. i.e. the wavecor output is 4db
hotter when filtered at 1.5K vs 2K but the distortion is about 6dB higher (2dB more distortion @ 1.5K vs 2K)
Were the Scan-speak distortion is about the same (but has high 3rd order is higher in general.)
And on the other side of the spectrum the RS28 with the SEOS WG has 14dB more distortion
and only 4dB more output (this equals 10dB more distortion) probably making the worst tweeter
in the group for a below 2K XO even with the Waveguide. The other thing to look at is how low the
the 2nd and 3rd are below the signal in general like the Wavecor's second harmonic is 60dB below
the signal were the RS28 is only about 43dB below the FR and that is a lot in dB land! about 4 times more...5 PhotosLast edited by xmax; 04-07-2018, 11:41 AM.

Well I accidentally ran a RS28 in the SEOS-8 at over 100dB all the way down to 440hz 24 4LR if anybody would like to see it's
physical limitations...1 Photo

Finally getting time to continue testing the current line up is
Waver TW030WA11
SEAS Prestige 27TBCD/GB-DXT
Satori TW29R Ring Dome Tweeter
Scanspeak D2604/833000
Transducer Labs N26MG
Peerless XT25SC40-04 ON SEQ8 WAVEGUIDE
DAYTON RS28 ON WAVE GUIDE
VIAWAVE 145
I will mount any of these domes on the WG if requested via clamps.
I will be using both FuzzMeasure and REW all tweeters will be mounted on a 20" +/- 2" baffle
using a B&K 4007 mic (not calibrated), calibrated U-MM6 with a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 also a calibrated U-MM6
the mic will be 12" and there will not be any reflective surfaces within 3ft.
The drivers will be actively crossed over @ 1500hz and 2KHZ for the domes 2000hz and 2500hz for the Viawave 24dB per Octave.
I will run them at 2 voltages and NOT spl match them, the voltages have yet to be determined probably 2.83v for the lower voltage

I wouldnt mind an extra ceramic TL tweeter in case i want a center or one breaks.

Makes me wonder if people will stock up while they can or be a bit afraid to with no replacements. I like to see manufacturers and distributors grow, not dwindle.

Yup, I have some W8-2096's I could not get any non-wave-guide tweeters to work very well with, maybe one of these will
do the trick.
