In these new sims, the mid touches the sum. The little icon that indicates a mid looks different on the two sims. One has something dark on it. Is it possible that it's turned off or something? Obviously I'm not familiar with xsim.
i noticed both of those as well and not sure why . no idea where or what that lil grey box is either .

Makes my mid sim look too low, but it's not. My sim in post 114. Raise the mid 6dB, and the sum will improve dramatically.

Do you save sims? If so, select one where the mid is not dark, and re-enter values of my sim. Not that it matters. The newer adjusted files change a lot anyway. Do you suppose that dark thing is maybe a way to mute a driver in the sim???

      We'll get there eventually.

          Do you mean sensitivity?

PE data shows the RS225 to be 87dB at 100hz. Subtract 6dB for full BSC, and that puts the speaker at 81dB. The mids don't loose much in their pass band to baffle step.

                    • Ok, so now we know, and have closer files. My sim used the 7.1mH, 40uf for a x-over around 400 or so. The mid has a pesky peak using my modified file, but I guessed at the height, and only used one driver. Your mtm is probably smoother than my file shows. I'm going to call it a night, and watch a little Netflix.

The files posted in post 116 and 117 were modified for a baffle. I guessed at some dimensions. I think I used 10" x 40" and 18" off the floor for the woofer, and 29" for the mid. I know there's two, I just wanted something in the ballpark.

                              • I would use rbp’s files then, might be a little more accurate for you. Does it change much if you plug in the z offsets I posted?
