ID:	1381292 It turns out it's not a double surround, but a plastic ring built into the VC "carrier", Can't wait to hear them!

My guess: 15. His grammar is passable. His trolling is good.

Good lord you weren't kidding! Those faceplates look enormous. That looks like it would rival a 5" driver just for mounting purposes! Is that all due to the chamber behind it? Still kinda hard to get a proper size perspective. Quite interested to read your impressions of them.

The magnet is huge. A neo slug version would be welcome so that a smaller faceplate version could be obtained.

Hello Xmax. Thank you for posting. If the opportunity presents itself, can you contrast the distortion of the da32 and da25 models? Also, can you post the impedance curve. It is my belief that the slight asymmetry of the da25's impedance curve is related to the transition from the pole vent to the chamber, and am curious whether this is the case with the da32. Good work. P.S. How do these look together?...

Those look great! Yes I will measure both, been trying to get to them all day!

Preliminary measurements: What you are looking at is the 25 vs 32 (only the 25 is specified) filtered at 1.8K
and 1.4K active LR4 @ my normal mic gain settings and the same output to achieve around 103 dB @ 6" on a 19"X19" counter sunk

Those both look pretty excellent to me! Are those in waveguides?

Nope flush mounted in a 19"X19" baffle. I will be putting the 32mm versions in some boxes with the 9.5" Satori in the AM.

Those are measuring impressively flat! Can you shed light on the distortion measurements from 10K - 20K? Not sure I understand what is going on with the sharp rise in measured distortion from -75dB up to -35dB. Thanks for posting data!

It's breakup of the metal diaphragm, also represented by the 3rd order bump at 8-9kHz. 2nd order distortion of 15kHz is...30kHz, so I think you can determine how important that is.

I think its impressive to see a 32mm metal dome with breakup node above 20kHz, in fact barely lower than the 25mm model. I know several 25mm domes that don't achieve a breakup above 20kHz.
I'm not deaf, I'm just not listening!

Thanks dcibel! The breakup mode of the diaphragm occurred to me a little while after I asked the question. I tend to forget that tweeters have breakup modes too since they are occurring so high above 20Khz!

and the property to "kill weeds"!!!!! The fumes were so bad, the misses and I took off to a cabin for a few days...
