  • Adire Audio resurrected

Just had an email from Dan Wiggins stating that Adire Audio is back in business and will be shipping drivers in September.
They invented the XBL process, and had the Shiva, Tempest, and Brahma woofers before they went under. The XBL technology is what allowed the performance of the Exodus Anarchy woofer that Pete Schumacher has been so enamored of lately.
Dan has passed the company on to others at this point, but feels they are very much in the same mold as the original company.

That would be good to know. I recently heard something that might be related to this.

The letter from Dan Wiggins states Andrew and Brandon.
Since PE does not have XBL2 drivers, this should be legal:

These are neat subs, but 15mm of Xmax is available from pedestrian consumer stuff at Best Buy. Will they be developing new product?

I always wanted a dozen or so Tumults.

Man do those things bring back memories.

The Brahma's have nearly 30mm one-way Xmax, spasticteapot.

I think I'm gonna pick up a pair of 10's for my project.

Didn't see it because it wasn't listed in 15" for sale. Whoops!

When I was in high school, that was a lot. Today, the Tymphany STW-15 promises 60% more excursion for the same money, and it's not "available soon" - you can get 'em from PE for about $440 after coupon (with free shipping, too!)

And, even if it weren't, I'd buy my sub from the company that wasn't defunct last week.

Well good for you, it alleviates you from having to check up on how we are doing buying defunct drivers, right?

do they sell drivers without the big logo on the cap? Assuming so, if not it wd put off alot of potential buyers imo. good luck to the new owners, push it on social media, IG etc

I wanna know where the Maelstrom and Tumult models are. They have the Shiva, Tempest, and Brahma; why not the others?

They were quite innovative in their time, so I'm looking forward to more of that!
Dan only gave first names for the new owners.
