Another Carmody "Speedster"

I'd like to start by thanking Paul for sharing such a solid design. Based on the number of build threads I see here, a lot of people are seeking a small, high quality, yet economical build. Thanks!

I started this a couple of years ago, got super busy with work, and finally had time to wrap them up. To build the box, I used scrap materials left over from past projects. I wanted a very rigid baffle, so I used the CNC mill at work to machine them out of aluminum. The sides are plywood and the removable back is solid cherry. I mounted the crossovers on the inside of the cherry. I'm very pleased with the results, both in the way they look and sound. Check them out!

Thanks all! I've gotten more time to listen, and they provide a level of clarity and detail that impresses me.

My other speakers are Hales Revelation Threes, but this is a very different animal. When I A/B the two speakers, it's surprising how much power these little speakers require. They also sound much larger and fuller than I would expect from 5.5 liters. Highly recommended!

Did you switch the polarity on the tweeters? Read in a thread that some hade to do that..

The neocd1.0 polarity issues were only on the much older versions. If you buy a new tweeter now you need not worry about it.

I used silicone adhesive. They're very solid.
