Hi all, great group here. I have an opportunity to build a new home theater in a basement which has just been gutted due to flooding. I have done a couple DIY speakers (existing plans only) but i am looking for is there a recommended DIY HT speaker setup, I get this can be all over the the place but looking for something simple and effective. My room is 15' wide and 20ft long. i am down to the studs so could be in wall as well. I was thinking, 2 front, 2 sides, 2 rear, and 2 atmos, with 2 subs (not sure what that equates to in channels).
My initial thought was to do a 3-way like the In-Khan-Neato ( i did this for a two channel in wall system with great results). I was also then thinking maybe the Overnight Sensations might be enough as well. I am not sure on the subs but probably one of the dayton audio ones or a Marty sub.
Any advice or tips or guidance is appreciated.
